ONAM, the grand festival of Kerala, is on the door step. Wish you all a very HAPPY ONAM. The Institution of Engineers (India) is in the 100th year of its existence. The Centenary of the Institution will be celebrated at all levels. The inauguration of the celebration at the National level will be held at Chennai on 13th September. The inauguration of the celebration at the State level will be on 19th September. The meeting will start at 9.30 am on 19th. I request all the members to participate in the function.

Hope that all the members had a happy Onam. The Institution of Engineers (India) has entered the centenary year. The Centenary celebration at the National level was inaugurated by Sri Banwarilal Purohit, Honorable Governor of Tamilnadu, at Chennai on 13th September. It was a grand function in which Dr E Sreedharan and Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE were honored along with two Dignitaries from foreign countries. The inauguration of the celebration at the State level was done by Sri K. Krishnankutty, Hon’ble Minister for Water Resources on 19th September. As the first programme of the centenary year a two day Seminar also was conducted on Kerala Water Woes Challenges and Mitigation. It was a well-organized function and thanks to the team worked behind it.
